Party Animals on the Wild Side

You can party like Animals on South Padre Island at Spring Break. Party Animals are everywhere. You can also party with the Animals. Spring Breakers can take a break from the crowds to enjoy the real animals on South Padre. South Padre has some great encounters of the wild kind that many Spring Breakers will find fun and memorable. These wild animals are on South Padre all year long and live here their entire lives. You won’t find them at the bars unless it is around the sand bars. You definitely will find them and enjoy them without having to look very far.

One great animal that loves to have lots of fun too are the wild dolphins of South Padre Island. They love a happy group of people and who is happier than Spring Breakers. So a visit with the dolphins of this area will be fun and full of surprises. Just getting out on the water to find the dolphins means sunshine, a great boat ride and just pure joy. There are plenty of Dolphin Watch boats and also a private Dolphin Tour led by the Dolphin Research Team of South Padre, Fins to Feathers, if you want to learn more about the life of the Bottlenose dolphins they have been filming and documenting for almost eight years.

Getting out on a fishing trip to soak up the rays and reel in a few fish is a great way to spend a few hours on the water. There are plenty of fishing boats from bay fishing to off shore Snapper fishing to private charter fishing and even fly fishing charters. There are sail boat charters and private tour charters too.

Sea Turtles are swimming around in their tanks at Sea Turtle Inc. to give everyone an opportunity to see these rare creatures that you will seldom or never see in the wild. They are located on the Island right across from the Tiki north on the Island.

The dolphin watch boats will turn into Booze Cruises for most of Spring break but there will always be trips at some part of the day for dolphins and eco tours. There is also the Coastal Studies Lab which is part of the University of Texas that is located on the south end of the Island and is free to tour from 1:30 to 4:30 each day but Saturday.

Horse back riding on the wild side of the beach is a great way to spend a few hours and the horses are really great. They are located north on the Island and have rides all times of the day. Building a sandcastle with the pros is also great fun and Sandy Feet is the one to call for Sandcastle Wizardry.

There are loads of water sports but remember while out on the waters of South Padre that this is home to wonderful creatures like our Dolphins and Sea Turtles and they need their space when it come to wave runners and speed boats. Also our Dolphins are wild and not Sea World so they are left wild and free so we don’t harass them by trying to touch them or feed them but just enjoy watching them in their free world.

So as Party Animals meet South Padre Animals, have fun and take home great memories and remember that the trash that blows into the water will impact these wonderful creatures. Plastic bags will suffocate Sea Turtles so let’s try to help our Sea Creatures by keeping the trash out of the bay and off the beach.
